Lemna obscura

Dorsal view of several mature plants with smooth surface and prominent apical papule. Like Lemna turionifera, the plant body is often blotched with reddish anthocyanin (especially ventral suface), but unlike L. turionifera, it does not produce turions. The smooth dorsal surface resembles L. minor, except it has a very distinctive apical papule that is not present in L. minor.
