Hybrids between the two species are occasionally found. A bumble bee (Bombus) on rabbitbrush (Chrysothamnus) near Manzanita Lake. A lovely pond of yellow water lilies (Nuphar polysepala). Mountain alder (Alnus incana ssp. tenuifolia) and duckweed (Lemna turionifera).
