The following images were taken at the San Elijo Lagoon Ecological Reserve. The unusual,
silken, green egg sac is suspended from the spines of a prickly pear cactus by fine threads.

Egg mass of silver argiope (Argiope argentata). The above images show spherical eggs with a distinct center (yolk). Although they superficially resemble human RBCs in this image, they are not biconcave disks.
