Fremont cottonwoods at Dead Horse Ranch State Park.

Quetta pine (Pinus eldarica), grown in a seed orchard at Dead Horse Ranch State Park. It is also called Mondell pine and Afghan Pine. This drought resistant species is native to Afghanistan and Pakistan. It resembles the Mediterranean aleppo pine (P. halepensis), but is more cold hardy, faster growing, and has slightly longer needles.
