Shaggy mane mushroom (Coprinus comatus).

Map lichen (Rhizocarpon geographicum).

Peltigera, a foliose soil lichen with spike-like rhizines on the underside of thallus (see inset). Dog lichen (Peltigera canina) has rhizines on the lower surface that resemble teeth, hence the specific epithet of "canina." There are other explanations for the common name of "dog lichen," such as a cure for rabies and a deterrent against biting dogs!
