I have never seen Lake Kaweah this large. It is formed as the Kaweah River flows into Terminus Dam below Three Rivers. The large white flowers are jimson weed (Datura wrightii).

West-bound freight train passing through Tehachapi. It had 3 locomotives in front (2 in rear), 2500 horsepower, over 100 cars and was a mile long!
