Granite Spiny Lizard This colorful male was exhibiting territorial behavior. Desert Horned Lizard A Remarkable Example Of Camouflage. This lizard was so well camouflaged that I had trouble finding it in my camera viewing screen. It was especially difficult centering the lizard. I kept cropping off parts of its extremities because I couldn't see it in the camera. Western Tent Caterpillar (Malacosoma californicum) This interesting moth belongs to the family Lasiocampidae.
